These lawmakers, claiming to represent the people, chose to trespass and break laws to protect individuals accused of heinous crimes, including gang affiliations and violence. This is not what the constituents of New Jersey need or deserve. When will these politicians realize that their actions have consequences? It’s astonishing that while they push for leniency towards alleged criminals, they neglect the very citizens who voted them into office.
DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin rightly stated that “members of Congress are not above the law.” The actions of these representatives reflect a disturbing trend among the left, where breaking the law is viewed as a means to an end. For what? To defend alleged killers and gang members at the expense of public safety? It’s time for New Jersey residents to ask themselves: who are these representatives truly serving?
Newark’s Mayor Ras Baraka, who was taken into custody during this debacle, echoed these radical sentiments. His insistence that GEO Group, the facility’s new owner, operates unlawfully is unfounded, as the Department of Homeland Security confirmed that all necessary permits and inspections are in place. This disregard for facts shows a troubling pattern among leftist leaders who prioritize political theatrics over genuine governance.
Residents deserve representatives who focus on policies that protect them, not those that cater to criminals. The constant push to shield illegal aliens and gang members under the guise of compassion is misguided and poses a direct threat to community safety. It’s time for the constituents of these radical politicians to say enough is enough.
